July is Parks & Recreation Month Event Highlights

Mystery of the Golden Bass Scavenger Hunt

All Month, Bass Lake Park, Travel Required

Travel across Holly Springs as you solve the mystery of the Golden Bass! Families will get an in depth tour of many of our Facilities as they solve riddles and gather clues. Once the mystery is solved, meet back at Bass Lake to earn a special prize!

July 5 Independence Day Celebration 

Wednesday, July 5, 6 - 9 PM, Sugg Farm Park

Enjoy a second day for the USA! The Holly Springs Independence Day Celebration on July 5 is full of fun with live music, food trucks, games, and spectacular fireworks. Fireworks are scheduled to begin at 9:15p.m. Admission is free and open to all. *Fireworks are weather dependent. Time is subject to change. Any time changes will be communicated on the Parks & Recreation website.

All-Abilities Arts and Crafts Workshop

Thursday, July 13, 5-8 PM, Cultural Center

Kids of all ages and abilities are welcome to explore different art techniques. Learn how to make everything from self-portraits to origami, painting and more. Make friends and masterpieces while we get creative and sometimes messy. Caregivers are welcome to attend.

MLB Pitch, Hit, & Run Program

Saturday, July 15, 9AM - Noon, Womble Park

Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit & Run (PHR) events provide boys and girls an opportunity to showcase their baseball and softball skills, with the opportunity of earning a chance to attend and compete for a Championship during the 2023 MLB World Series!  

Free Fireside Friday!

Friday, July 21, 7-9 PM, Sugg Farm Park

Come join us fireside for Smores under the stars at Sugg Farm. Other activities may include stargazing, games, and other nighttime educational adventures. Each participant will be provided a seat, roasting stick, and sweet treat. All attendees must be registered and all minors must be accompanied by an adult.

Tai Chi at the Farmers Market

Saturday, July 22, 8AM - Noon, Cultural Center

Just say AAAAHHHHHH! Come get your week started with mindfulness and movement. We'll learn the traditional Yang Family style Tai Chi, which opens up communication between your mind, body, and heart. Tai Chi is a gift you give your body, and the gift will continue to give as long as you practice it.  Perfect for families to practice together!
