Volunteer
Volunteers in Parks (ViPs)
Holly Springs Parks & Recreation has volunteer opportunities for all interests. Volunteers help make it possible to provide affordable programs and services for the community. Learn more about the ways you can get involved. Depending on the role, some volunteer positions may have certain requirements including but not limited to passing a background check.
Eligibility Requirements
- Each person must submit a completed volunteer application, a signed waiver and, when required, successfully pass a background screening. Community-wide days of service volunteers are exempt as these opportunities do not have a formal check-in and check-out process.
- Minimum age: For most opportunities, we welcome children ages 12 to 15 with parental and/or staff supervision and children ages 16 and up may volunteer with adult supervision, such as a club advisor/sponsor.
Volunteer Application
Become a ViP by completing the volunteer application. If you're unsure of where you would like to make an impact, don't worry! One of our volunteer coordinators will reach out to answer any questions you may have.
Reward & Recognition Program
Our ViPs are essential to the success of many programs and special events during the year. The annual ViPs Appreciation Event is held to formally acknowledge the commitment and passion our volunteers exemplify. See the HSPR ViP Reward & Recognition document for more information about this program.
See our Upcoming Volunteer Opportunities page to register for active sign-ups.
