In remembrance of Martin Luther King, Jr., we come together as a community through acts of service. Join us for the second annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service on Monday, January 16 from 9-11 a.m. at Bass Lake Park.

In coordination with North Carolina's Year of the Trail celebration, volunteers will be mulching and cleaning the trail at Bass Lake Park. This project is intended for volunteers ages 16+. Volunteers ages 10-15 are able to assist with a parent/guardian in attendance. Dress for the outdoor weather and in clothes suitable for getting dirty. Pre-registration is required to ensure adequate supplies are available. A waiver is required to participate. Register online

As a second service project, children and families can create Valentine's Day cards for seniors in the conference room at Bass Lake Park. The cards will be distributed with the assistance of Holly Springs Police Department. Card making is walk-in only, so no registration or waiver are needed.

Additional service opportunities are available throughout the year. See our Volunteer page to apply to be a volunteer.
