Update as of May 5, 2023 | All playground areas at the park are officially reopen for play! Resurfacing and installation of a shade structure for the 5-12 year old playground is planned for early June. Stay tuned for updates on the Town's social media pages!

The playground at Jones Park is on deck to receive upgrades. Starting the week of April 17, crews will begin removing the existing playground surface in preparation for installing a new ADA-compliant, rubberized surface. In addition, two shade structures will be installed over both playgrounds.
To allow for safe and efficient construction, the park playground will close on Monday, April 17, for about two months.
Meanwhile, if you have children who would like to get out and play, please enjoy the Town’s additional playgrounds at Womble, Ting, and Veterans parks.
