Winter Weather Update


Due to the threat of inclement weather and icy conditions, all athletic fields, including open play at turf fields, will be closed on both Saturday, Jan. 31, and Sunday, Feb 1. During this time, all programs and activities are canceled.


The Holly Springs Parks & Recreation Department maintains a variety of athletic fields which are used to host a large number of activities including youth and adult athletic leagues, tournaments, and rentals from various groups. View our Athletic Facility Use Guide and reservation application. A completed application is required to request athletic facility reservations.

Field Location Description
The Pit 301 Stinson Ave. The Pit is a multipurpose field located adjacent to the W. E. Hunt Recreation Center.  
Jones Park 405 School Days Ln.

Jones Park is located behind Holly Springs Elementary School and features one youth baseball field with a 50’/70’ mound to base setting. 
Joint-Use Agreements Various

Several local school fields are available for department and public use through Joint-Use Agreements with Wake County Public Schools.

Holly Grove Middle School (1401 Avent Ferry Road): Football Field, Track, Softball Field

Holly Springs Elementary School (401 Holly Springs Road): Soccer Field

Holly Springs High School (5329 Cass Holt Road): Softball Field, Baseball Field, Multipurpose Field

Holly Ridge Elementary School (900 Holly Springs Road): Soccer Field

Holly Ridge Middle School (950 Holly Springs Road): Softball Field
