Garbage & Recycling

The Town of Holly Springs, through GFL Environmental, provides residential curbside garbage and recycling collection. Residents sign up for garbage and recycling service when requesting water service in the Finance Department at Town Hall.

Schedule & Collection

• Garbage collection occurs weekly.
• Recycling is collected every other week on the same day as garbage collection.
• Collection of garbage and recycling can occur any time during your scheduled day; collection trucks run until 7 p.m.
• Place carts at least 5 feet from the closest mailbox or post.
• Look up your schedule for garbage, recycling, and yard waste collection.

Remember to place only appropriate items in your garbage container. Materials such as yard waste, dirt, construction materials, and household hazardous waste items should not be placed in your garbage container. Dispose of these items properly, such as through the Town’s yard waste collection or by taking the materials to a Wake County waste or recycling facility.
