Leaf Season Zone Collection

During leaf season, leaves that don’t fit in yard waste carts can be placed at the edge of your front yard for collection. Town vacuum trucks will collect leaves left behind the curb each month during your zone’s collection week as shown on the map to accommodate larger volumes of leaves this time of year.

Biweekly collection of yard waste from carts also continues during this time.

Yard Waste Zones

Help collection run smoothly.

  • Continue using your yard waste cart for collection of all types of yard waste every other week. Look up your biweekly schedule.
  • For leaves that don't fit inside your cart: Before 7 a.m. on Monday morning of your assigned collection week, place the leaf piles off the street and away from storm drains.
  • Leave only leaves at the curb. Place limbs and sticks inside your yard waste cart for collection. Limbs and sticks mixed with leaf piles at the curb can damage leaf vacuum truck equipment, which could lead to service delays. If you have limbs and sticks that do not fit inside your cart, take them to the yard waste convenience center or schedule a special pickup for a fee. More information.
  • Holly Springs Public Works plans to serve your neighborhood within your zone's assigned week. Additionally, neighborhoods with high leaf volumes will be monitored, and the Town will address these areas as needed to ensure streets remain passable.
  • Ensure professional landscapers and tree service contractors remove all leaves and yard waste they handle as Holly Springs Town ordinance requires.

Have mounds of leaves and don't want to wait for your zone's scheduled week? 

  • Residents can take any amount of yard waste to the yard waste convenience center at 6412 Rex Road at no additional charge.
  • Residents can also contact the Town to schedule extra collection of large amounts of yard waste for a fee. More information.
