This greenway project will extend the Utley Creek Greenway west from Morgan Park to connect with the Holly Glen neighborhood and north to the future Town of Holly Springs Operations Campus.

The first phase of the Utley Creek Greenway project, completed in 2022, connects west and east Holly Springs using a pedestrian tunnel under N.C. 55. The open segment travels from West Ballentine Street near West Elm Avenue to the Morgan Park greenway. View greenways and trails in Holly Springs.
Grant Funding
This second phase of the Utley Creek Greenway project was selected by the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO) as a recipient of grant funding made available from the federally funded Locally Administered Projects Program (LAPP). Visit CAMPO's LAPP selection page for more information. This grant covers 70% of the cost of construction, with the Town providing a 30% match.
