Learn more about what microtransit is on the NCDOT website.

The Town’s service is similar to microtransit programs successfully launched recently in other neighboring municipalities. The goal of the service is to help residents find another convenient, alternative way of getting around the community without worrying about traffic or finding a parking space.

The Hopper microtransit service is operated by Freebee, an external vendor, and is partially funded by a grant from the NC Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization.
