Dance
Our dance and cheer programs offer high-energy, creative movement classes for a variety of age groups, led by experienced instructors who are passionate about both technique and fun. Classes take place at the Holly Springs Cultural Center and at the W.E. Hunt Recreation Center, and culminate in a end-of-season recital.
Seasons run Jan – April, May – August & Sept – Dec.
Flip, twist, and dance your way to fun with Acro Dance! This dynamic class blends the art of dance with exciting tumbling tricks, bringing creativity and flair to every routine. Students will build flexibility, learn dance techniques, and master acrobatic moves that add a wow factor to their choreography. Perfect for dancers who love to move, groove, and soar!

Gigi Uenoyama
Originally from Brazil, Gigi began dancing at age three and has spent her life as a competitive dancer and tumbler, earning national and international awards. She has performed with major dance companies and served as a guest judge at events like the South American Dance Cup. With over 20 years of teaching experience, she previously ran her own dance school and produced a state competition in Brazil before moving to the U.S. in 2017. Gigi is also the author of four ballet books for children. She now teaches Ballet, Acrodance, and Cheerleading to both recreational and competitive groups at the Holly Springs Cultural Center, where she loves the joyful and welcoming environment for families.
This enchanting program introduces dancers to the fundamentals of classical ballet while nurturing poise, discipline, and creativity. From pliés to pirouettes, students will build strong technique and develop a deep love for movement in a supportive and inspiring atmosphere.

Hannah is a dancer with a strong background in ballet and a passion for helping young dancers grow. She looks forward to leading her ballet class this fall, focusing on technique, confidence, and expression through movement. Her goal is to create a supportive environment where every dancer feels encouraged and excited to learn.
This beginner-friendly Bollywood dance class teaches the energetic and highly theatrical form of dance seen in Indian movies, which is used to enjoy freedom of expression. It is a combination of Indian traditional dances, folk, and Western dance forms. Bollywood Dance does not have any set rules and can be enjoyed by all ages and people. Examples of the forms of folk dance that will be taught are Bhangra, Garba, and Rajasthani folk.

Contemporary dance blends ballet, modern, and jazz techniques to create expressive, grounded movement. Students will explore floor work, improvisation, and dynamic choreography while building strength, flexibility, and creative confidence. Each class includes a full warm-up, technical exercises, and phrase work that encourages personal expression and storytelling through movement.

Preschool: This high-energy program introduces preschoolers to the basics of jazz, including fun jumps, kicks, and turns, all set to upbeat music. Through simple and playful movements, children will learn how to express themselves, develop coordination, and build confidence. With its bouncy, rhythmic style, jazz dance is perfect for little feet to explore new moves and have a blast while learning the exciting world of jazz!
Adult: A beginner-friendly class where adults learn the basics of jazz through simple steps, turns, and combinations set to upbeat music. Build rhythm, coordination, and confidence while exploring the energetic style of jazz dance.
